Yesteryear Collection - Suze, a la Gentiane

Released in 1980 for the French Liqueur company Suze. Lesney decided that the 'Colman's' livery did not appeal to the international market and so the 'Suze' was launched to cater for the European countries. However, because the demand was so good, the manufacturers quickly made it available in all other markets.

Livery: (Tampo)
'SUZE' in black with red outline on both sides of van.
'A LA GENTIANE' in black on both sides of van.
Coachlining in black.

Variations/Rarities: Released with a yellow body with a black chassis and roof which was basically the same as the earlier Colman's issue.
It usually had black seats but some had brown seats.
The radiator and windscreen frame were gold plated.
It can be found with red 12 spoke wheels or chrome 12 or 24 spoke wheels.
With the redesign of the rear doors came the inevitable overlap of both types, with the type 2 in either black or red, being an eagerly sought after variation.
The final issue is hard to find as it had red type 2 rear doors while all of the earlier issues had the doors in black.
The baseplate can have "No.Y12" inscribed or no Y number.
